20. Rethinking Routine: Reducing Unnecessary Type & Screen Tests in Planned C-Sections

Routine preoperative type and screen (T&S) for Caesarean sections has long been standard, but evidence shows it’s safe to limit testing to high-risk cases. Building on local success, this project expanded to 13 sites across the province, reducing unnecessary tests while maintaining patient safety.
