Equity is one of the six domains of quality, yet it is often one of the first to be overlooked. To meaningfully address issues of equity in healthcare, we must attend to structural elements that exist within our systems of care delivery that reinforce existing disparities and perpetuate inequitable health outcomes. This work stream will incorporate recommendations from existing equity-focused groups including the Temerty Faculty of Medicine’s Office of Inclusion and Diversity, TAHSN Anti-Racism CoP and Sustainable Health System COP to develop a framework that integrates an equity lens into existing tools and methodologies used in QIPS research, education and practice across TAHSN organizations.
