“Medical error—the third leading cause of death in the US” a recent study by Dr. Martin Makary (Professor at the Department of Surgery, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore) and Michael Daniel (Research Fellow) received a critical response by BMJ Editors, Dr. Kaveh Shojania (CQuIPS Director) and Mary Dixon-Woods (Professor of Health Services Research, Cambridge Centre for Health Services Research).
