Excellence in Quality Improvement Certificate Program (EQUIP)

The goal of the EQUIP is to train current and future clinicians and leaders working at university-affiliated academic health centres or clinics to build capacity in QI.

Course Content

EQUIP’s enriched content and deeper dive into QI methodologies make projects more likely to succeed, and will prepare participants to maximize their project’s impact and receive academic recognition for their work. Learn more here.

  • Six full days of virtual training over the course of nine months that feature a mix of didactic and interactive small group sessions and peer presentations (designed to allow participants from outside Toronto to attend)
  • Eight monthly webinars from August 2024-March 2025 serve as project check points and provide the opportunity for faculty to provide distance coaching for QI project work and peers to learn from each other

Each participants is assigned a one-on-one faculty coach to provide guidance and support throughout the program to help them recognize and avoid common missteps.

Target Audience

  • Academic faculty seeking to more meaningfully integrate QI into their clinical work or scholarly activities.
  • Senior trainees wanting to make QI an academic career focus.
  • Health professionals in advanced practice or leadership positions working in academic health centres.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum
